I’m Rachael, founder of Breathe Birth Blossom. I take your privacy seriously and am committed to protecting the personal information you share with me. What information I collect

Depending on the service you book or the way you contact me, I may collect personal information including: name, date of birth, phone number, email address, postal address, emergency contact details, medical conditions, how many weeks pregnant you are, allergies, approximate due date, baby’s age and baby’s name. I only collect information that is necessary to provide the service you request and to manage bookings safely and professionally.

How I collect information

I collect information when you contact me via my website forms, when you make a booking, and when you communicate by email or phone. Booking and service-related data is collected and managed through Wix. If you opt in to marketing, your email address will be added to Mailchimp. Occasionally I may store files on Google Drive where needed for business administration.

 

How I use your information (purposes)

I use your personal information to:

• manage and administer your booking and payments;

• deliver the services you have requested (courses, relaxation classes, baby massage);

• communicate with you about your booking, sessions, or any necessary changes;

• tailor the service to your needs (for example, noting medical conditions or allergies);

• meet insurance, legal, or accounting obligations;

• send marketing emails, where you have given consent.

I process personal data on one or more of the following lawful bases under UK data protection law:

• performance of a contract, where you book a course or service with me;

• legitimate interests, such as running and improving my business and maintaining client records, provided this does not override your rights and freedoms;

• legal obligations, for example where I must retain records for insurance or tax purposes;

• consent, where you have agreed to receive marketing communications.

 

Sharing your information

I will not sell your personal data. I may share personal information with the following parties where necessary to provide services or manage the business:

• Wix (website, bookings and payments platform);

• Mailchimp (email marketing) — only if you opt in to receive marketing;

• Google Drive (secure storage) for administrative records, where required;

• my husband, who provides behind-the-scenes website and booking support.

Anyone who has access to your personal information is required to keep it secure and only use it for the purposes I have described. I will only disclose information where required by law or where it is necessary to protect your vital interests.

My website is hosted on Wix and uses the standard cookies required for basic functionality and analytics. These may include session and persistent cookies for site operation and performance tracking. At present I do not use a separate cookie consent banner. You can manage or disable cookies via your browser settings, but this may affect how the website functions.

 

How long I keep your information (retention)

I retain personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes it was collected, including any legal, insurance, or accounting obligations.

Typical retention periods:

• Client booking and session records: retained for a minimum period required for insurance and professional record-keeping (commonly 7 years for business records), unless you request earlier deletion and there is no legal reason to retain them.

• Marketing data (Mailchimp): retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  If you’d like your data deleted sooner, contact me and I will review and action your request in line with legal obligations.

 

Security of your data

I take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal data from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. Data collected via my website is stored on Wix and, where applicable, on Google Drive. Access to administrative systems is password-protected and limited to myself and my husband (for administrative support). While I take care to protect your information, no online storage system is completely secure — if you have any concerns, please contact me.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have a number of rights in relation to your personal data, including:

• the right to request a copy of the personal data I hold about you;

• the right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
