Terms &
Conditions

The following terms and conditions outline our commitment to you as a client, as well as your responsibilities when booking our hypnobirthing courses, relaxation blocks, and baby massage sessions. These guidelines are designed to ensure clarity, safety, and fairness for everyone within our local community.

Payment

A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required to confirm your place on your chosen course.
The balance of the course fee must be paid in full at or before the first session of the course. Course fees are non refundable except under exceptional circumstances.
Payment is made for a full course as advertised and not for individual sessions.
Flexible payment terms must be agreed in advance.

Cancellations

In the event of cancellation by a participant prior to the start of the course, the deposit is non-refundable.
In the event of cancellation by a participant after one or more sessions of the course have been completed, no refund will be given.
In the unlikely event of cancellation of a course by myself, attempts will be made to reschedule. If this is not possible, or alternative dates cannot be agreed, a full refund of the total fee will be given.
In the unlikely event of cancellation of an individual session by me, attempts will be made to reschedule. If this is not possible, or if alternative dates cannot be agreed, a refund for sessions not yet taken will be given. If it is not possible for all couples within a group to agree an alternative date then provision will be made for individual couples. The refunded fee per session will be calculated as the total fee, after deduction of the £50 deposit, divided by the number of sessions in the course. No refund will be made for sessions already taken.
If for any reason an in person course cannot take place, for example extreme weather or government guidelines, the event will either be rescheduled or the course will take place over live video link.

Rescheduling Sessions

For participants taking a private one to one course, 48 hours notice must be given in changing appointment dates or times. Where this is not done the participants will be liable for the session fee calculated as the total fee, after deduction of the £50 deposit, divided by the number of sessions in the course. Exceptions may be made in exceptional circumstances.

General

Participants take part in Hypnobirthing sessions with the understanding that the content of the course is in no way intended to be taken as medical advice. Participants should seek the advice of a health-care provider to answer any health-related or pregnancy-related issues surrounding their pregnancy, their labour or their birth. Breathe Birth Blossom can not be held responsible for any decisions that you make regarding your pregnancy and birth.
Any questions or doubts you have about the use of Hypnobirthing should be discussed with your health care professionals.
Taking a Hypnobirthing course in no way guarantees a certain birth outcome.
The resources given to you on a Breathe Birth Blossom course are for your own personal use and should not be distributed to third parties. Again, these do not represent medical advice.

These Terms & Conditions apply to both the 4-week block and the pay-as-you-go sessions, except where a clause specifically refers to one booking type.

By booking a place on a Pregnancy Relaxation class, whether as part of the 4-week block or a pay-as-you-go session, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Please read them carefully before completing your booking.

1. Booking & Payment

1.1  Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place, whether you are booking the full block or an individual pay-as-you-go session. Your booking is only confirmed once payment has been received in full.

1.2  Places are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Until payment is received, your place is not reserved and may be offered to another participant.

1.3  Prices are as advertised at the time of booking. Breathe Birth Blossom reserves the right to change prices for future courses and pay-as-you-go sessions, but this will never affect a booking that has already been paid for.

2. Refunds & Cancellations (by you)

2.1  No refunds will be given once the 4-week course has started. This applies whether or not you attend any or all of the scheduled sessions.

2.2  No refunds will be given for missed sessions or for non-attendance. Because places are limited and your booking reserves a space that cannot then be offered to someone else, payment is non-refundable if you are unable to attend one or more sessions for any reason.

2.3  The course is sold as a complete 4-week block. Sessions are not sold individually, and the fee is not reduced or refunded on a per-session basis if you attend fewer sessions than scheduled.

2.4 Where pay-as-you-go sessions are offered, each session must be booked and paid for in advance. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment secures your place for that specific session only. If you are unable to attend, you may request to transfer your booking to another session by giving at least 48 hours' notice. Transfers are subject to availability and are offered at the sole discretion of Breathe Birth Blossom. They are limited to one transfer per booking. Refunds are not available for pay-as-you-go bookings.

2.5  If you are booked onto the full 4-week course and are unable to attend a session, please let me know as far in advance as possible. While missed sessions are non-refundable, I will do my best to share any relevant materials, notes, or guidance, where appropriate, to help you keep up with the course.

2.6  If you need to cancel before the course begins, you may request to transfer your place to the next available course, subject to availability, provided you give at least 3 days’ notice before the start date. Transfers are offered at my discretion and are limited to one transfer per booking. No refund is available in place of a transfer.

2.7  Early arrival of your baby. If your baby arrives before your booked course or pay-as-you-go session begins, you will be entitled to a full refund. Please notify Breathe Birth Blossom as soon as you are reasonably able. This exception applies only where your baby arrives before your booking begins. Once the course has started or a pay-as-you-go session has taken place, the no-refund terms above will apply.

3. Cancellations or Changes (by us)

3.1  In the unlikely event that a course or session is cancelled by Breathe Birth Blossom, you will be offered either a suitable alternative session or course (where applicable), or a full refund for any sessions not delivered.

3.2  Breathe Birth Blossom reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the schedule, venue, or teacher, and will give you as much notice as possible. Such changes do not entitle you to a refund where the booked class or course is still delivered.

3.3  If a session cannot go ahead for reasons outside our control (for example illness, venue issues, or other unforeseen circumstances), we will arrange a suitable alternative date or replacement session wherever possible.

4. Health, Safety & Medical Disclaimer

4.1  These sessions are designed to support relaxation and wellbeing during pregnancy. They are not a substitute for medical care, antenatal appointments, or advice from your midwife, GP, or other healthcare professional.

4.2  Your teacher is not a medical professional. Unless otherwise stated, Breathe Birth Blossom and its teachers are not midwives, doctors, nurses, or other registered healthcare practitioners, and do not provide medical, clinical, or diagnostic advice. Any information shared during the classes is for general relaxation and educational purposes only. You should always consult your midwife, GP, or maternity team for medical advice relating to you or your baby.

4.3  Relaxation, breathing & hypnobirthing-style techniques. Any breathing, visualisation, relaxation, or hypnobirthing-style techniques taught during the classes are offered as comfort and wellbeing tools only. They are not a guarantee of any particular birth experience or outcome, are not a form of pain relief or medical treatment, and do not replace the guidance of your maternity care providers or your own birth preferences. You remain free to make all decisions about your pregnancy, labour, and birth in consultation with your healthcare team.

4.4  By booking, you confirm that you have no medical condition that prevents you from taking part in gentle relaxation and breathing activities. If you are unsure, please seek clearance from your midwife or GP before attending.

4.5  You agree to inform Breathe Birth Blossom of any pregnancy complications, medical conditions, or concerns that may affect your participation, both before the course begins and as they arise. This information will be treated confidentially.

4.6  You take part in all activities at your own risk and are responsible for working within your own comfort and ability. Please stop and rest at any time if you feel unwell or uncomfortable, and inform the teacher.

4.7  If you experience any concerning symptoms during or after a session (for example pain, bleeding, or reduced fetal movement), you should contact your midwife, maternity unit, or emergency services without delay.

5. Liability

5.1  To the fullest extent permitted by law, Breathe Birth Blossom accepts no liability for any loss, injury, or damage arising from participation in the classes, except where caused by our negligence.

5.2  You are responsible for your personal belongings at all times during sessions.

5.3  Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

6. Privacy & Data

6.1  Any personal information you provide will be used solely for the purpose of administering your booking and delivering the classes, and will be handled in line with applicable data protection law (UK GDPR).

6.2  Your information will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

7. Photography & Media

7.1  Photographs or recordings may occasionally be taken during sessions for promotional purposes. Your consent will always be sought before any image of you is used, and you are free to decline.

8. Code of Conduct

8.1  We aim to provide a calm, supportive, and respectful environment for all participants. We ask that you arrive on time, treat fellow participants and the teacher with respect, and follow any reasonable safety instructions given.

8.2  Breathe Birth Blossom reserves the right to ask anyone behaving inappropriately to leave a session, without refund.

9. Acceptance

By completing your booking and payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

We know Terms & Conditions can be boring, but they're here to protect both of us and make sure we're on the same page. The key things? Be honest about your health, give us notice if you need to cancel, and be respectful to everyone in class. Everything else is just the legal stuff we need to cover. Any questions? Just ask!

1. Booking & Payment

1.1  Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. Your booking is only confirmed once payment has been received in full and you have received a confirmation email from us.

1.4 By booking a course, you are confirming your availability for all dates listed in that course. Refunds are not available for individual sessions within a course that you are unable to attend.

2. Refunds & Cancellations (by you)

2.1  No refunds will be given once the 5-week course has started.

2.3  The course is sold as a complete 5-week block. Sessions are not sold individually, and the fee is not reduced or refunded on a per-session basis if you attend fewer sessions than scheduled.

2.4  If you are booked onto the full 5-week course and are unable to attend a session, please let me know as far in advance as possible. While missed sessions are non-refundable, I will do my best to share any relevant materials, notes, or guidance, where appropriate, to help you keep up with the course.

2.6  If you need to cancel before the course begins, you may request to transfer your place to the next available course, subject to availability, provided you give at least 7 days’ notice before the start date. Transfers are offered at my discretion and are limited to one transfer per booking. No refund is available in place of a transfer.

3. Cancellations or Changes (by us)

We reserve the right to cancel any class or service with 24 hours notice due to:

  • Insufficient bookings (minimum 2 participants required)

  • Instructor illness or emergency

  • Venue unavailability

  • Severe weather or circumstances beyond our control

3.1  In the unlikely event that a course or session is cancelled by Breathe Birth Blossom, all reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, or alternative dates cannot be agreed, a full refund of the total fee, or the proportionate amount for any sessions not yet taken, will be issued.

3.2  Breathe Birth Blossom reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the schedule, venue, or teacher, and will give you as much notice as possible. Such changes do not entitle you to a refund where the booked course is still delivered.

3.3 If Breathe Birth Blossom cancels a session, we are not liable for any indirect costs you may have incurred, such as for childcare, travel etc).

4. Health, Safety & Medical Disclaimer

4.1 By booking a baby massage course with us, you confirm that your baby is at least 6 weeks old to pre-crawling and you have completed our medical questionnaire truthfully and in full.

4.2 You must inform us if your baby has any health conditions, developmental concerns, recent vaccinations or allergies. The full list of health conditions are included in the medical questionnaire you must complete once your booking is confirmed.

4.3 All course and class content is provided for educational and wellbeing purposes only and must not be interpreted as medical advice.

4.4 Participants are responsible for seeking guidance from an appropriate healthcare professional (such as a GP, midwife, or health visitor) regarding any postnatal, medical or infant health concerns.

4.5 Breathe Birth Blossom accepts no responsibility or liability for decisions made by participants in relation to their postnatal care or their baby.

4.6 Participation in a baby massage course does not guarantee a specific health or developmental outcome for your baby.

4.7 We reserve the right to refuse service or ask you to stop participating if:

  • We believe it is unsafe for you or your baby to continue

  • You have not disclosed relevant medical information

  • You have not obtained required medical clearance (if applicable)

5. Baby Massage - How Sessions Work, Contraindications, and Product Use

5.1 In baby massage sessions, all strokes and techniques are demonstrated on a doll. Parents and carers then carry out the massage themselves, on their own baby, following along at their own pace. At no point do I handle or massage a participant's baby directly.

5.2 Baby massage is suitable from around 6 weeks. For babies born prematurely, corrected age (rather than actual age) is used to determine readiness, and timing should be discussed with me in advance.

5.3 If your baby has any skin conditions, allergies, recent illness, recent vaccinations, or any other health concern, please let me know before the session so we can discuss whether and how to proceed safely.

5.4 Sessions use Tropic Skincare Little Roary baby oil. Parents and carers are responsible for carrying out a patch test on their own baby before the product is used, and should raise any concerns about product suitability, and we will make alternative arrangements.

5.5 As you are massaging your own baby throughout, you remain fully responsible for your baby at all times during the session, and should stop or pause at any point you feel is right for your baby.

5.6 You remain responsible for your baby/child at all times during our sessions. We provide instruction and guidance, but you are your baby's primary caregiver.

6. Illness Exclusion Policy

6.1 Please do not attend any in-person class or session if you or your baby have a temperature, sickness or diarrhoea, a contagious illness or rash, or have been advised to isolate, until you are both well and, where relevant, outside any recommended exclusion period.

This is to protect the wellbeing of everyone attending, including other babies who may be very young or vulnerable.

7. Code of Conduct
